Backend Engineer

Role Description

This is a full-time hybrid role as an Intern Backend Engineer at FiberSight, located in Coimbra, Portugal. As a Backend Engineer, you will be responsible for contributing to the development and optimization of our backend systems and applications. Working closely with our development team, you will play a key role in implementing backend functionalities using Python and ensuring efficient data storage and retrieval. Additionally, you will collaborate with other members of the technical team to ensure the successful execution of projects and provide technical guidance and support as needed.

 

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a relevant technical field.

• Proficiency in Python programming language.

• Basic understanding of databases and data management principles.

• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

• Fluency in English (additional languages are a plus).

• Nice to have familiarity with machine learning and artificial intelligence concepts.
